teddywolfRecently the TiVo recorded Great Performances look at Bill Irwin. I am a big fan of good physical comedy, and this man looks to be one of the very few current active masters of the genre. If you happen to see tickets floating around for a nearby performance including him - he usually performs on-stage - then I suggest you get them and go watch.
My favorite physical comedians include The Marx Brothers (all deceased), Michael J Fox (who now has Parkinsons), early Chevy Chase (had to stop due to back injury), and Victor Borge (alas, deceased). Do any of you out there have any other performers you'd put in this category?
(Edited to add:) And can anybody think of a (or several) good female physical comic(s)? I'm drawing a blank.
