[livejournal.com profile] tigerbright pointed me to Neil Gaiman's most recent blog post, where among other things he mentions the humidity damage to a number of copies of his new kid book due to a storm named Sandy. The publisher has already started making good to people who got humidity-rippled copies, and both he and the publisher have apologised (damn you chellspecker, he's British, you'll learn it!).

I turned to her and asked, "But what I want to know is, has Superstorm Sandy called him up to apologize to him?"

Yes, I do consider him to be a force of nature in odd and mysterious ways.

Heh. After your parenthesis I rewound a little and read it as a more conspicuously British "the publisher have apologised"... although I don't know if they'd actually say that one.
