With a hat tip to Tom Smith:
California's Prop 8 has been declared Unconstitutional at the state level. This will go to the Federal courts, that's for sure, and I am pretty sure it will hit the Supreme Court within a year or two.

Small correction: this was a Federal court striking Prop 8 down under both the Due Process and Equal Protection clauses of the US Constitution. The fight will continue up the ladder of the US courts (unless it's expedited to the SCOTUS), and with any luck, this ruling will hold, overturning ALL of the state laws and constitutional amendments that create a second-class citizenship with regard to marriage.
