Oh, Sweden. How could you ever expect your men to be macho if they take paid time off when their children are born? Men are supposed to stay outside the house and occasionally call home to see that they still have loved ones. oy

Somehow, I've never mastered the whole at home, barefoot and pregnant part, either. I do compromise by sometimes secretly kicking off my shoes under the desk at work...

On the cultural side it is, sadly, still a big deal. On a personal note, well, it's my standard at home. I do it all the time, it isn't particularly noteworthy. This is why I don't generally talk about it here.
