Yes, my sleep cycle is completely unglued. I think I'll try to nap a couple of hours during the day and otherwise go to sleep around 10PM or so.

For your National Poetry Month bemusement: Garrison Keillor, at Salon, about the origins of poetry. Who knows? He might even be right.

So, why do women write poetry?

An excellent question. Clearly some write it to attract other women. Some write for Art. Some write to attract men other than Art. Poor Art, being confused with something inspirational can really get to a guy after a while.
Some will write to while away the long hours between inspiration and perspiration. Some write when drunk. And some write to refute Garrison Keillor.

Admittedly these are only a few reasons. I am sure there are at least three more :P

That's what Robin Williams's character said in Dead Poets' Society: "to woo women." (And when Tom Ashbrook quoted that line recently (http://www.onpointradio.org/shows/2009/04/the-poetry-in-your-head/), I said it before he did.)
