I tend to hear from some people how there's no difference between Democrats and Republicans on Capitol Hill. Example of the day of this not being the case:

Action on the student loan industry.

On the most important aspect of this particular issue, there really is no difference between Democrats and Republicans. After all, both fail to acknowledge that federal student aid is unconstitutional. That one of the two kleptocratic parties is more helpful to their supporters in this particular instance is a symptom, not a cause.

I would say that each party is more helpful to their supporters; each has a very different view of who those supporters are.

Do note that while a quarter of the lobbying and election monies paid by the industry went to the Dems, the Dems still voted against the industry.
