TV to look out for
Oct. 16th, 2005 01:41 amTwo items.
First: this Monday is The Colbert Report, on Comedy Central after The Daily Show. The question running round the house is, can Stephen Colbert do a good job for a half-hour as opposed to a few minutes? I for one think he can, and he has the potential to do so brilliantly. I'll be watching.
Second item up for bids: saw a promo for a new cartoon show on Cartoon Network. The Boondocks is making it to the small screen. If it's allowed to be as edgy as the comic strip, then I am looking forward to a good, if short-lived, animation series. Not that I don't want it to do well, as I do; but my hopes aren't flying high after Dilbert got cancelled a few years back. Mr. McGruder, best of luck.
I admit I am surprised it's airing on Cartoon Network rather than Comedy Central, which I suspect would have more of its audience.
