The owner of Order of the Stick did a Kickstarter, looking for $57,750. This was the amount to reprint an out-of-print book.
He's blown past $1 million.

I saw that last month and thought it was a shame that they didn't just set up a store instead to be able to keep more of it. Kickstarter made a LOT of money off of this one that could have gone to OotS instead. Maybe there was a reason it made more sense this way, I dunno.

Wow. The author shouldn't have any trouble getting a publisher interested in his next book project if he has this many devoted fans.
