[Poll #638904]
More people than not in the USA view themselves as moderate. Part of this is due to the term 'liberal' being demonized and turned into a slur by many anti-liberals who, roughly speaking, want you to believe that liberals want to take away your freedoms, tax you for no reason and drink wine at your expense.
If you went with the first answer more often than not in questions 2-9, you're actually fairly liberal. You might be annoyed to hear that the current Administration and many sitting GOP congresscritters say they are in favor of the first or second answer in 2-9 but routinely go with the third one.
If your answers have no clear pattern, or stay firmly in the middle, you're a moderate.
If your answers were more often the third one, you're a conservative - possibly a libertarian who believes the free market will handle it, or maybe somebody who just doesn't care if it gets handled or not.
Fox News routinely bashes people they view liberal or who offer aid and comfort to liberals. Their news has a regular and consistent right-wing bias, and they do not routinely correct their news reports proven to have mistakes. None of those traits are hallmarks of a solid, reasonable, neutral news organization.
The ACLU has defended people who flat-out hate them, including neo-Nazis and (I believe) Rush Limbaugh. They have defended the liberties of people and organizations from the encroachment of government at all levels. They do so fairly quietly and without whining about the abuse heaped on them by many who, frankly, don't care about your rights.
