I was talking with my wife earlier, when she was talking about election results. I believe one person had written something like, "Claire McCaskill legitimately beat Todd Akin-"

"Nonono," I said. "See, it's like this: when a state like Missouri has a legitimately nasty foreign influence, like Todd Akin's political philosophy on rape, the electoral body has ways of shutting that whole thing down."
