Jun. 5th, 2008 01:17 amI just finished watching Tuesday's Colbert Report, where Stephen Colbert interviewed George Will.
Mr. Will said many things, but I think three of them, all of them lies, are of major importance:
1) He likes tacos. He did not actually say this, making it a whopper of a fib.
2) Conservatism is about freedom of results while liberalism is about equality of results. Utter lie worthy of your flying saucer in your barn story. Conservatism is about maintaining a particular status quo, while liberalism is about giving people equality of opportunity, an opportunity which is free to provide whatever results may come up.
3) George Will is always correct. This is an absolute falsehood that is even more obvious than the lack of WMDs under George Bush's desk. See #2, above, because I'm more correct than George Will.
I will grant Mr. Will this much: he's a much better marketer than I am. And, well, writing regularly.
