TV Blogging Update
Jan. 4th, 2005 10:28 amA while ago I reviewed Read Or Die in this space. Somebody mentioned seeing something with the same title but with very different characters. Well, recently Cartoon Network showed Read Or Die - specifically, a full-length movie, not the half hour shows that are being re-aired on g4TechTV's Anime Unleashed. It is indeed different from the show, involving a paper master who is a part-time secret agent.
Right after Cartoon Network showed that, the half-hour shows resumed on the other channel. And I will mention that there is in fact some crossover of characters from one to the other, in some cases tangentially, in other cases a bit more substantially. You can watch the series without watching the movie, but you'll see a few more things in the series if you have watched the movie.
