Oct. 2nd, 2003 10:18 amTwo days ago I called up the accounts payables office of a town where I owed two very overdue parking tickets. I had already gotten a bank check from my bank to send to them. The lady on the other end of the phone asked me, "What about Fleet? Did you know you could hand Fleet cash to pay off your ticket?"
"No, I didn't."
"You mean nobody told you when you called the office before?" She sounded incredulous and a bit annoyed.
"Nope. But then again I don't want to give Fleet any of my money."
"I don't blame you in the slightest."
I paid over $13 to overnight a bank check instead of paying cash at a nearby Fleet. Either I really hate Fleet or I really love the Post Office.
Yeah, I really hate Fleet.
