You know, I find it interesting that economists mentioned above are only talking about increasing production capacity. Last I knew the reason a number of giant manufacturers were in such big trouble was an overabundance of production capacity and an inability to shed it. The way to prop them back up isn't making it easier for them to buy *more* (unneeded) capacity, it's to get more people buying the services, thus validating current capacity.
