News of the Weak, Sabbatical Announcement

To our devoted fans:
News of the Weak has been delighted to make up strange and unusual news for you to read and enjoy for the last several years. We've taken great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our product and refuse to let it be diluted by lesser quailty news items. Alas, the times have changed.

When we initially started writing these news sheets these was plenty of stupidity to mock and a great deal of understanding that the stupidity should be shown for what it really is. Unfortunately there's now far too much stupidity to mock and too many things that sound like we would have written but instead actual news.

Now this isn't to say we haven't used some actual news in some of our feature articles. Even so, we shouldn't be able to take a whole day's headlines verbatim and make it our feature sheet of the weak.

So for those of you who have read here and the now-defunct Themestream and on a particular newsgroup... we thank you for your patronage. We may resume operations sometime in the future but as for when we simply cannot say.

And so until then, adieu.
