Mar. 7th, 2002 03:00 pmI just arrived at work about a half an hour late.
This time I will say it's definitely not my fault - my usual route to work had one leg doing a fairly credible imitation of a parking lot. As you can tell I was impressed greatly by the acting ability of this stretch of highway, enough to have me shouting in appreciation til I was half hoarse. I shout a lot for things that impress me that much - so long as I have the privacy to not blow people's eardurms out.
I came in all worried and hurried, slightly twisting my knee in my haste to get in closer to on than not... and the supervisor called up to the desk in charge of the queue and put me in for a late exception because of the nasty traffic.
You know, this *big* company I work for's been a lot more flexible about this kinda thing than a lot of *small* companies I've worked for.
I like it.
