Volunteering, Boston area, 6/5-6/10

Some of you have seen this already...

Next Monday I'm going to be taking bids at the WGBH auction during the late afternoon/early evening (3:30-7PM). The auction is currently looking for more volunteers as they are apparently very short on many shifts. If anybody would like to come with me to my shift, please let me know; if anybody can't go then but would be interested in helping out at other points during the week, email me or comment here so I can get you contact information.

What do you get for volunteering aside from Warm Fuzzies? WGBH has a habit of feeding volunteers fairly well. In addition, you can get yourself a WGBH membership, which aside from looking spiffy in your wallet can also qualify you for discounts at some places.

The Auction starts next Sunday (6/5) and runs through Friday (6/10). Shifts are available morning, afternoon and evening.

They are located in Allston/Brighton. There is a bus that goes by there (They are on Western Ave, IIRC) but trains are slightly more distant.

If you can both answer phones and write then you could be a bid-taker, my gimpy friend :) I'd suggest calling the appropriate person. Email will be forthcoming.

Can I get a bit more info? A few of us in the SCA have bandied about the possibility of working the phones as a group/in garb.

Of course, I won't be there at all next week, but some of my friends might be free.
