Devil's Dictionary

A friend of mine in LJ asked for some definitions for a number of words, typically words with a pretty loaded emotional index. The original entry is right here. I started writing definitions in a style best publicised by Ambrose Bierce around the turn of the last century, and those definitions were put together into a book called "The Devil's Dictionary". For those of you who don't read Griff, here are the definitions I wrote:
