Since a different platform I'd been using had enormous difficulty simply letting me put in a link, I put up a blog post over at Daily Kos, "Republicans vs Fiscal Responsibility." Please feel free to link to it, respond to it here or there, even link to it on FB.

The Democrats have tried playing nice for decades now (admittedly they were less nice in the 80s), with ever-increasing Republican intransigence. I would like the two parties to play nicely together, but right now the GOP notion of "compromise" seems to be "This is our position and you should adopt as much of it as possible. That is your position and we will thoroughly ignore it except when we demonize it."
