I adore J. Of my cousins J, J and J--all brothers-- he is the oldest. He is the one who introduced me to Dungeons and Dragon and to Tom Lehrer. When he came to visit a couple of weekends ago, he recommended a newer musical satirist to me, a fellow named Tim Minchin.

Last night he sent me a link to a video of Mr. Minchin performing a song, called Prejudice. The first couple of minutes are preamble with piano accompaniment. All I can say is he takes an unusual tack on it. Watch or listen to it somewhere without people offended by strong language, as he will drop the occasional f-bomb.

I am mathematically certain there are multiple people on my list who knew about this man before I did. Those people are free to say so :P

Dialogue seen in today's Girl Genius:

I… keep forgetting he's a Spark.

Really. So you've completely missed the fact that he's overbearing, self-aggrandizing, and certain death to be around?

Well, no, but… what's your point?
