TV Blogging - DC Universe

I just watched last night's Justice League Unlimited and it has several notables that I, well, should make note of:
* They finally give the Flash a speaking role. He's barely made any cameos the past season, let alone a spoken line.
* It's been ages since I've heard new lines from Worf Kalibak - yes, Michael Dorn used his Worf voice. The growl has been missed.
* Two other voices done on the show are done by actors I very much respect, and for those of you who watch the show after this I will give a hint to each, from very old shows. One was on Mary Tyler Moore; the other one was on Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In - and yes, has a direct homage quote from his best known role on that show.

If you haven't seen it yet and didn't record it, you'll either need to wait for reruns or ask me nicely :-)

As we were watching, and the villain (whom I shall call V.) gave that trademark line from Laugh-In, [livejournal.com profile] gnomi turned to me and said, "I bet that's [actor's name here]." I was astonished when she was correct; I thought they were just doing an homage to him. She pointed out that the homage made no sense unless they had gotten that very actor to play the role.

And the actor from MTM who played the other villain has always voiced that villain, from the first appearance.

The quote that came to mind when you mentioned "Laugh-In" was "Very interesting - but stupid".
